Bonner & Smith, LLC is a FEE ONLY comprehensive financial planning and investment management firm that specializes in active discretionary portfolio management, retirement planning, tax and estate planning.
We currently manage assets that include individual investors, corporate profit sharing plans, and trusts.
Whether you are investing on behalf of a corporate retirement plan, a non-profit endowment or building your own net worth, you want your money invested prudently and profitably. Our goal is to provide our clients with the long-term growth needed to reach their goals, consistent with their risk tolerance. Our ability to reach this goal has led to many referrals from satisfied clients and our continued growth.
As your financial adviser, you expect us to make thoughtful, carefully researched decisions, and to keep your best interest in mind. We use a similar approach when we make decisions about the service providers we employ to help us meet your financial objectives. As a result we have selected Fidelity Investments to be our custodian. Fidelity has been serving the needs of individual investors and investment professionals for over 75 years and, today, is one of the largest privately owned financial services companies in the world. As experts in the financial services field, they have a thorough understanding of the products and services we need in order to best serve you.
Bonner & Smith LLC is a Registered Investment Adviser. Susan D Smith, Keith Bonner, and Rusti D Pitts are all Investment Adviser Representatives. While both "adviser" and "advisor" are correct spellings in the English language to refer to someone who gives advice, we adhere to the legal spelling provided in the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. To be allowed to use “Adviser” over the “Advisor” counterpart, the act states that you must be a Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) or an Investment Adviser Representative (IAR). To know the difference between advisor and adviser is just as important as making sure that your financial planner is certified. The RIA and IAR designations guarantee that your financial representative is legally required to act as a fiduciary and only in your best interests as a client. The phrase "Financial Advisor" is frequently used by brokers, who are not Fiduciaries and are not legally required to act in your best interest.
